Degree in Classical Literature from the UNAM, Master in Philosophy and Classical Studies from the University of Barcelona (Spain) and Ph.D. in Greek Philology from the University of Barcelona (Spain) and Philosophy (specialty Histoire de la philosophie ancienne) from the Aix- Marseille University (France). He is currently a researcher at the Center for Classical Studies of the Institute of Philological Research of the UNAM where he develops a research entitled: "Poetry and thought in archaic Greece, Anthology of Greek archaic poetry (VII-V centuries BC)"

Among his areas of specialization is the study of the conformation of the historical discourse in Greece, a subject to which he devoted his doctoral thesis entitled "Polypeiros sophía. Herodotus in the history of Greek philosophy. "Among his research lines are: The relations between epic poetry and the other poetic and literary genres of archaic Greece, the interactions between the various poetic genres and the emergence of philosophical discourse, and the Greek philosophical tradition of the "Presocratics" to Plato, with special emphasis on the Parmenides Poem. It is, since 2016, a member of the National System of Researchers.
