Annunziata Rossi Papisca

He studied at the University of Messina and of Rome-La Sapienza, at the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, both with specialization.

He arrived in Mexico with a scholarship in 1957. In 1959 he began to teach at the National Preparatory School of the UNAM in the Mascarones campus. In 1960 he taught the subject of aesthetics in the High School number 1, San Ildefonso. In 1996, she is called to give classes in the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, in the career of modern letters, and where she obtains the full-time position. During a two-year stay in Rome (1968-1970), he writes The Contemporary Italian Novel, published by the UNAM in 1974. At the same time, he begins his research on the Renaissance at the Biblioteca Nazionale and the Alessandrina Library of the University-La Sapienza.

He frequently collaborates with the cultural supplement of the newspaper La Jornada both with translations and with essays. In 1986 he received an award for his essay The Name of the Rose. A forbidden book In 1990 she retires and enters as a researcher by contract to the Institute of Philological Research. At the moment it will be dedicated to complete its work on Machiavelli to propose its publication.
